Cramped

March 12, 2007

This is one of Martin’s entertaining observations. Visit it here.

I’ve included it here because the use of the condensed font (and lack of a space between the exclamation mark and the price) suggests this property is going to be more cramped than average.

This image comes from one of my many books containing cut-away pictures. The reason I particularly like this drawing is the way it uses the cut away technique not for clarification purposes (it’s a glass lamp bulb, after all) but as a symbol to us that it’s an explanatory diagram.
If you’re looking for a gift, there is a great book by Paul Mijksenaar.

Snapped on the morning of the alan fletcher exhibition visit, in the arches underneath London Bridge, this is a fine example of a design by accident. Look at the angle of that bottom sheet of osb. Creates a dynamic composition.

davidthedesigner has an admirable posting record. He puts this down to discipline. That’s a lesson to me. A bit more discipline and get on with it. So; here is a photo of the artist Peter Cutts, who is showing his beautiful work from the 16th March with his colleagues in the Rockets Artist group in Brighton.
